Gifts from Grandma & Grandpa

After Grandma and Grandpa's trip to Cabazon, these are the goodies that I got! I know Mommy mentioned I would be spoiled, but I didn't think THIS much!

I Love Mommy & Mommy Loves Me

Mommy and Daddy bought me this playmat yesterday and Mommy put it together! They also got me a mobile for my crib, chain link toys, 3 pj's (I'm wearing 1 of them in the picture), pacifiers, a new cover for my Boppy and some Huggies toilettries :) I had a good day!

Wearing my I love Mommy and Mommy Loves Me onesie...Believe it or not, these are the first pictures I've taken with Mommy since I've been released from the NICU. On a side note, I like to stick out my tongue a lot :P I will also mimic you...if you stick out your tongue, I will stick mine out!

You can just imagine how hard Mommy laughed when she woke up to pump and saw me in my bassinet looking like this (these pictures were taken once I was already up and had been fed):

Yes! Those are sockies covering my hands as gloves!!!!! LOL...Daddy told Mommy that it was very cold and that "the gloves we have are paper thin and these sockies are warm!" The plus side to these is the fact that they don't come off as easily as the gloves :o) but Mommy was scared that the elastic was too tight (but it wasn't!) My daddy is goofy, I love him!

Reflux Update

I'm naked under my blanket, my daddy covered me to keep me warmSorry I didn't update yesterday, got really busy ;) David and I took Khloe to the pedi and at first we had some insurance issues because her primary doctor was a different one?!? but then we called Blue Cross and changed her doctor. She now weighs 7.2lbs! Her doctor was really happy about that. Just the thought about an average newborn weighing what she weighs now, freaks me out! LOL He wants to make sure that she keeps gaining around two pounds per month for the first 3 months. We discussed her reflux, he mentioned that her spitting up about 2 to 3 times a day isn't bad. He gave us a sample of the Gentle Ease and A/R formula and told us to try the Gentle Ease first and if that doesn't work, to try the A/R. She is scheduled to go get her shots March 5th so he will weigh her then and make sure that she's gaining weight. He doesn't seem concerned about her spitting up as he said it's normal and it usually goes away by 6 months if she truly has reflux. He told us not to give her water because at this age, it can actually lower their sodium (my parents had been telling us to give her a little bit of water because they used to give my sister and I water!) He also told us that at this age, babies sneeze and hiccup a lot! We've definitely noticed that ;) Good news, she didn't spit up yesterday and she hasn't today. So all seems well in Khloe's world...As for me, my doctor told me that the pain I'm feeling is due to a muscle trying to make it's way back to its place before the pregnancy. I told him where it hurt and he put pressure on it right away and found the spot a few times! Thankfully it's nothing serious and all I need to do is apply warmth to it and it should get better within a few weeks. Today I went to Target and returned the formula that David and I had gotten since the doctor gave us a couple free ones :) Of course I bought Khloe a onesie which says I LOVE MOMMY! and Also got her a shirt which says Kiss Me I am Irish LOL She's 100% Mexican but I had to get it because it was really cute and it was in the dollar section! I will take a picture of her in it next month and post it! That's all for now, I will post pictures of her in the pedi's office later tonight!

Reflux?

Ok! I haven't posted in a few days...Since my milk supply isn't all that great (event after some herbal supplements, drinking lots of liquids, eating oatmeal, etc.) David and I went to buy some formula for Khloe (the one that she was having in the NICU). We were only giving her the amount that I was short on the breast milk and to our surprise, she started to spit up after every time that we would supplement some formula. I called her pedi who at the time asked if she was spitting up the breast milk as well, which she wasn't so he recommended Gentle Ease. David and I went to Target to buy it along with some onesies and little pants for her but then my mom thought it would be a good idea to just give her breast milk for a whole day to see if she would spit up...sure enough, she did a few times. We haven't started the new formula because I don't want to open it and then have her pedi change it again! Luckily, I still have a few ounces of milk in the freezer. I called her pedi again today and he wants to see her because now it appears as though it may be reflux! Her appointment is scheduled for tomorrow afternoon. Poor baby is very gassy as well :o( I also have a doctor's appointment tomorrow because my abdomen (left side) has been hurting for the past few days. I really hope it's nothing serious. I will update tomorrow...
